What it explains
Correcting a list: じゃありません, then が
A correction is two moves. First rule out — むぎは たんとうじゃありません. Then supply the right answer with が, because you are picking one person out of several: さとうさんが よさんの たんとうです. Doing it in that order is what makes a correction sound like help rather than a contradiction.
わかりました closes a task
Past tense of わかります, and the standard way to confirm you have understood an instruction. わかります on its own can read as I understand in general; わかりました means I have got this specific thing, which is what a colleague is waiting to hear.
The scene itself is in the app.
Lesson one of this track is free to read in full. From lesson two on, the story, the audio and the review are part of a free account.
