JLPT N5
~たいです
Want to do, desire to do
Structure
Verb ます-stem + たいです
How it works
Used to express one's desire or wish to perform an action. It can only be used for the speaker's desires or, with inference, others' desires.
Examples
日本語を勉強したいです。

Common mistakes
Using it for someone else's desires without adding specific phrases like と言っていました (said they wanted to).
Tip
Remember 'たい' attaches directly to the ます-stem, like an 'i-adjective' ending.
