What it explains
自 turns things into themselves
自 in front of another character means it does it by itself. 自転車 is a self-turning vehicle, a bicycle, using 転 and 車 already learned. 自動車 is a self-moving vehicle, a car, using 動 from this unit. 自分 is one's own portion, meaning oneself. Three words, all built from parts now in hand, and none of them needing to be memorised as a shape.
有名 and 有る
有 means to have or to exist, and its most useful appearance is 有名 — have-name, meaning famous. 「有名な 店です」 is a sentence a learner will want early and often. The verb 有る is more often written ある in kana, which is the general rule for verbs like this: the character exists, and ordinary writing does not use it.
The scene itself is in the app.
