What it explains
場所, 地図, 世界
場所 is place-place, both characters meaning roughly that, which is common and not redundant — the pair is the word. 地図 is earth-drawing, a map; 図 arrives in unit 26. 世界 is generation-boundary, the world; 世 arrives in unit 24. Meeting a word with one character still unknown is the normal state of reading Japanese for the next few years, and the way through it is to read the half you have.
度 counts occasions
度 is a degree — 三十度 is thirty degrees — and also a count of times: 一度, once, and 今度, next time, both of which the N4 course uses constantly. 「もう一度」 is the single most useful thing a learner can say, and until now they have been saying it without being able to read it.
The scene itself is in the app.
