What it explains

Vたいです — want to do

Take the ます form, drop ます, add たいです: かざります → かざりたいです. The result behaves as an い adjective, so the negative is かざりたくないです and the past is かざりたかったです. Note it describes your own wants: saying あきさんは かざりたいです asserts what is inside someone else's head, which Japanese is careful about.

Nが ほしいです — want a thing

For objects rather than actions: ラベルメーカーが ほしいです. ほしい is an adjective, so the thing wanted takes が, exactly as with すき. Negative ほしくないです. The pair is worth keeping straight — たい for verbs, ほしい for nouns.

Vに 行きます — going in order to

Drop ます and add に いきます: かいます → かいに いきます, going to buy. This に is the destination particle doing a second job, marking the purpose of the trip rather than its endpoint. Both can appear: スーパーに かいに いきます.

The scene itself is in the app.

Lesson one of this track is free to read in full. From lesson two on, the story, the audio and the review are part of a free account.
