What it explains
まえ, うしろ, ちかく, そと
The same shape as うえ and した from Foundations: they are nouns, they follow の, and they come after the thing they relate to. ぎんこうの うしろ is the bank's behind. ちかく is looser than となり — となり is immediately adjacent, ちかく is somewhere around there.
それから for the next step
Joins two instructions in order: go straight, それから turn right. It is the plainest way to sequence anything at this level and works for recipes, routes and schedules alike. It starts a new sentence rather than joining two into one, which is why it is available before you have learned to link clauses.
右に まがります, まっすぐ いきます
Learn these as whole phrases. Note the particle: you turn に the right, and you turn を the corner — かどを 右に まがります. That を is the same one you know for objects, doing a job it also does for the path something moves along.
